MOHOR -NGO KOLKATA HAS RECENTLY REDEFINED THEIR ACTIVITIES.

Objectives of the Institute:

a)    To promote various activities for prevention, identification, and early intervention of person with special needs.

b)    To provide education, therapeutic intervention and vocational training to special needs children for rehabilitation.

c)     To promote residential facility for special needs (MR&CP) children.

d)    To promote activities towards goods oral aural communication of the hearing impaired children.

e)    To organize training for teachers, therapist, parents, and community workers to develop experienced manpower for the persons with special needs.

f)      To disseminate knowledge and awareness related to various aspects pertaining to persons with special needs.

g)    To promote activities towards equal opportunities, protection of rights, full participation of persons with special needs for establishing an inclusive barrier free and right based society for the persons with special needs.

h)    To run sponsorship program for poor students, distribution of aids and appliances according to the children needs.

i)      To support and participate in activities of public interest, of charitable nature undertaking by missions and other social organization.

j)      To organize any other program towards the cause as may be conceived from time to time.

AN INTERVENTION PROGRAM  FOR CHILDREN with special needs

OBJECTIVE: Early identified children with special need have to be assured maximum different skills through the special training in different skills area to help them developing their verbal communication, motor, cognitive, self help, academic, social, recreational, vocational skills for main streaming in our society.

MISSION: To promote various activities for prevention, identification, and early intervention of with special needs.

To promote activities towards good oral aural communication of the hearing impaired children.

Age range: 2 Months to 18 years

Initially the institute will be opened for 2 days only (Saturday and Sun day) but in sooner future the institute will open for 5 days in a week.

Timing: 4.30 Pm. – 8.30 pm

SERVICE OFFERED & IN-HOUSE SERVICES:

ASSESSMENT, PROGRAMMING OF Hearing Impaired, Mentally Challenged, AUTISM, Attaintion Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, MULTIPLE DISABILITY, ETC.

COUNSELING, BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION, INDIVIDUAL SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL GUIDANCE, SPEECH THERAPY, AUDITORY TARING  LANGUAGE TRAINING, OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY, MUSIC( TABLA, DANCE,SONGS), ART& CRAFT, YOGA, VOCATIONAL TRAINING ETC.

OUT PATIENT DEPARTMENT:

ENT, PEDIATRIC, SKIN, ORTHOPEDIC, AUDIOMETRY, TYMPANOMETRY, HEARING AID TRIAL AND DISPENCING, OT, PT, PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT AND COUNSELING, SPEECH THERAPY, ETC.
